CIMS-COPPER → MacroABM → LabourABM (cims-macro-linkage-v3)

Drives MacroABM-CA with a self-consistent CIMS-COPPER energy scenario, then drives the LabourABM with the macroABM's realized employment: CIMS supplies end-use demand, fuel prices and oil-and-gas production, COPPER supplies electricity capacity and generation, MacroABM-CA supplies the provincial economy, and the LabourABM resolves the labour market into 14 geographies × 162 occupations. One-way and non-iterative at every stage — the energy pathway is an input, and the economy adjusts to it.

Where this workflow came from

  • 2026-08-24, first vintage (docs removed 2026-09-04): CIMS end-use demand and COPPER supply re-expressed in the CER pipeline's formats and run through the CER methodology unchanged; a standalone (not converged) CIMS-COPPER pair, several channels deferred.
  • 2026-08-28, second vintage: converged CIMS-COPPER pair, scenario folder as run root, every deferred channel wired (investment tax credit, generation-investment multiplier, policy environment, full capacity machinery), the LabourABM stage in absolute demand mode, IDEA outputs, and the interactive analysis report.
  • 2026-09-01: the workflow runs the team's current CIMS (CIMS-EPM) itself through a CIMS stage; the wide-to-long policy-file trap is guarded; the energy-data config block is [Models.EnergyData].

The mechanisms descend from the CER-macroABM (Powering Canada's Growth) work; the methodology restates everything needed without requiring those documents.
